513 Finney Street
Sandy Brooks purchased her historic home, built before 1920, from previous owners, Doris and Harry Keenan. The Keenans lived in the home for 50 years. For the past year-and-a-half, Sandy has been very busy with the process of renovation. Some of the completed projects include the addition of a sparkling pool, surrounded by a picket fence. New windows were installed downstairs and the kitchen has been completely redone. Bead board was added upstairs in the south bedroom, carpet was removed and original heart-of-pine floors were refinished throughout the home. Visitors will find a freshly painted porch with a newly installed railing. Sandy looks forward to hanging the home’s original porch lantern. Landscaping and lighting are on her list for future projects. This charming home is very special to Sandy as her father, born in 1925 on Finney street, was raised in. the Lake Morton Area. Sandy is very happy that her own child will have the same opportunity.
